HazingPrevention.Org is offering a free Webinar on August 11, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. (ET) to assist campuses in planning an effective week of hazing prevention education and activities, connected with HazingPrevention.Org's National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW). This Webinar is appropriate for student affairs professionals, chapter and student organization advisers, student leaders, and inter/national organization volunteers and staff. Key concepts will include quick and effective planning, designing learning outcomes for NHPW, coordination among multiple organizations (on campus or beyond campus), marketing, social networking, and assessment efforts.

NHPW is observed on campuses and within organizations each year during the last week of September (or at another time that is more convenient). Activities range from brown bag lunch discussions among faculty to movie or book discussions with students to training for organizational and team leaders to the signing of anti-hazing pledges. Some plan an entire week of activities and programs and some simply plan one or two meaningful programs.

More information, and planning materials, can be viewed on the National Hazing Prevention Week Web page.
